Created in 2023 as the cover image for Massimo Morello’s book Bangkok, this photograph brings together two defining elements of the city: the contemporary urban skyline and a black Buddha statue encountered at Wat Suthat.
Rather than illustrating contrast, the image holds both presences within a single visual field, reflecting Bangkok’s layered identity — a city where modernity and Buddhist tradition coexist, overlap, and continuously reshape one another.
The 2024 edition is limited to 6 Fine Art prints, size 42 × 63 cm, produced on textured cotton paper according to archival standards.
